As I mentioned in my previous post, I fired out our nanny last Friday. I already reached the point I got so pissed off I will not be able to stand seeing her for another minute longer.
Everything started last Wednesday. When I took a bath that morning, my younger kids also took their morning bath. They have probably missed our bath time together so we took shower altogether. Afterwards, my husband dressed them up. However, when my husband and I arrived later that day, they were still wearing the same clothes! We already explained the rule to her - shower after lunch before their afternoon nap then give them another shower after they played in the afternoon. To answer the questions in our minds, we asked their nanny why she did not give the kids a bath in the afternoon. We asked my niece who is spending vacation with us if the kids took their bath. She said they did not. So, my husband confronted the nanny but shed denied it, giving a lame excuse that my niece was too busy playing in the computer so she did not notice. She also said that she changed Joma's clothes but she did not give him a bath because he does not want to. Duh!

Flowers on my Table
I already mentioned in one of my previous blogs that my daughter loves to pick flowers in the garden and give it to me.

A Very Busy Week
I can't believe it! It has been a week since I last published a post here. The week was very busy I did not notice the days pass by. Time flies so fast!
Tuesday morning surprised us when we received a text message from one of the elders of the CFC_FFL leader we belong. It says in the message that our elder, who is also one of our godfathers in our church wedding, was brought to the hospital because he had a heart attack the night before. Later during the day, we received an update that he was confined at the ICU of Asian Hospital. We visited him at the hospital after office.

First Day at Work
It is my first day at work. The first day of training as well. I am not feeling good but I have to report to work. Normally in call centers, nobody is allowed to be absent during training. I would also like to show the people that I am professional. I feel feverish. I have no voice. Sore throat? Probably. But I would blame cough and colds for my sickness. I would like to show the people I am working with what "The spirit is willing though the body is weak" literally means. LOL.
First day blues? It is not my first job, but I know I will be working with the "cream of the crop" in this industry. Being hired as a senior technician position is a big responsibility.

Wanted: Nanny
Because I will be starting with regular office work soon, we have to hire someone we can trust who will look after the kids. This has been a problem for over a year now. One of the reasons why I resigned from my previous work is because we had a helper we cannot trust. She does not even respect us! Not even as her employers. Admit it, it is really difficult to look for a helper these days. It is either they demand high salary with less stuff to do around the house or they don't do anything at all, just an additional mouth in your house to feed.
Earlier yesterday, one of the next-door neighbors came in and recommended the daughter-in-law of her sister to be our kids' nanny. I explained that the basic duties are very simple:

Back to the Corporate World
I am earning enough from my online jobs but it was my husband's wish that we go back to the corporate world because we need financial documents for the house that we are planning to loan. Although I know we can pay our mandatory contributions voluntarily, such as SSS, Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth, but paying the tax has been an issue. I have been posting questions on different forums how can I pay my tax being a freelance writer or work-at-home but nobody was able to give me a clear answer. Ask the BIR? I tried, but to no avail. The answer that I received from them is as vague as the ones I got from the forums. They are clueless about work-at-home jobs, much less online jobs! For them working at home means you have your own business. How stupid can they be!

The 2010 Presidential Election
Have you cast your vote today? We already did! Don't forget to cast yours.
It is our right and duty as a citizen of this country. We are asking for change in leadership. We are hoping to improve the economy and the government service. Then, we should vote for the candidate we think is the best for the position. Vote for the candidate who you think will bring the change in this country.

Will You Vote for Villar?
Yesterday was the last day of campaign for the Presidential election tomorrow. At the same time, it was also my market day.
Happy Mother's Day!
Mama... Mommy... Nanay... Inang... Mamita... whatever way you call your mother, don't forget to give your mom a big hug and a kiss today! Motherhood is a 24/7 profession that does not receive any monetary compensation. The hugs and kisses from the children they reared and hearing them say "I love you Mom!" are the best gift mothers would like to receive. Gifts and treats are just added bonus.
Being a mother to 3 small kids, I know the feeling when they come to me just to hug me or kiss me. Each of my kid has their way of showing their love and gratitude to us their parents.

No More Dede Milk!
My eldest is now 6 years old and will be turning 7 in a few months. But sad to say, he still drinks his milk on his feeding bottle. I have been trying to wean him since he was 3 years old. I tried all the techniques and tips I read on books and the Net. Unfortunately, none of them worked. We consider the younger siblings to be the main factor why he cannot be weaned.

A Day in the Life of a Work-at-Home Mom
I know women, including some men, will agree with me when I say it is not easy juggling between work and family. When I decided to leave the corporate world, I was fortunate to find a good work at home. I wanted to personally attend to my kids, my husband and household chores. It was also then when we decided not to hire a helper anymore. It was very difficult at first but time management is the key. That was a year ago. Now, I have learned how to schedule my activities, my kids', and even family bonding time.

Two Political Rallies in a Day
With only a week left before the 2010 Presidential Election, politicians are now maximizing their campaign sorties to convince people to vote for them. Black propagandas are thrown at each other's faces. Sad, but that is how Philippine politics is.
Similarly, it was a busy day in our neighborhood last Friday. The 2010 Presidential Election is happening in a few days. News that an actress/senator's wife who is running for a seat in the Congress and his brother-in-law who is running for the town's mayoralty position will be coming over.
